This course introduces students to the basics of throwing pottery on the wheel and provides them with an understanding of ceramic terms, processes and knowledge needed to use the pottery studio safely and independently. Topics include centering clay, throwing basic forms, handles and glazing. Sessions include demonstrations and practice time under the guidance of the instructor.
