Clay Camp (ages 10-17)
Does your student love to build, construct, and get a little dirty? This clay camp will teach basic clay hand-building skills. Students will construct a coil pot, a tile, a wall vessel, and a clay animal of choice. Students will learn how to keep clay at a workable level of moisture, how to score and slip to connect clay to clay, how to use clay tools and how to effectively apply glaze. All completed work will be fired and ready for pick up the following week. This camp is great for exploring the medium and actively engaging problem-solving skills to create preferred end products.
