Wake Forest Lit Fest

Fri, Oct 19 - 11:00 am to Sat, Oct 20 - 8:00 pm

Celebrate the world of literature that opens doors, creates new opportunities and enriches lives, at the first-ever Wake Forest Lit Fest Oct. 19-20! Page 158 Books and the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts have joined forces to launch an immersive cultural experience for all ages that celebrates literature and the arts in and around beautiful and historic downtown Wake Forest.

On Friday evening, Oct. 19, young readers and their families will have the opportunity to witness the popular children’s book “Biscuit” come to life on stage through the talent of ArtsPower National Touring Theatre.

On Saturday morning and afternoon, Oct. 20, Lit Fest will feature locally- and nationally-recognized, best-selling authors from many different genres discussing their work, while also offering a variety of thought-provoking workshops, readings, and other activities in a friendly and informal setting. Lit Fest will conclude Saturday evening with an Author Speed Dating Dinner! Don’t miss this exciting and interactive literary experience where readers and writers of all ages and interests can find a book, share a dream and connect with kindred spirits!

Books will be available for purchase, courtesy of Page 158 Books, but you may also bring a book from home to be autographed. Partial proceeds will go to the “Book Your Brain” project through Page 158 Books, which helps promote children’s literacy by donating books to local schools and children’s organizations.
